DUCKWORTH Animated Lyric Video

For my animated typographical lyric video for Kendrick Lamar’s "DUCKWORTH.", I had to rely solely on text and movement to bring the song’s intense storytelling to life. Without images, every decision—font choice, pacing, transitions—had to carry the weight of the visuals. I used a mix of sharp, abrupt cuts and smooth, flowing movements to mirror the shifts in the beat and the tension in Kendrick’s voice. Certain words hit the screen like gunshots, shaking on impact, while others stretched and distorted. The rhythm of the song dictated the animation, making the words feel alive and reactive, as if they were being spoken directly through the typography itself.
